Chhattisgarh's Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, neglected by the state sports department, obtained a temporary electricity connection due to outstanding dues. The neglect has hindered the state's ability to secure more ICC matches. The Sports Department of Chhattisgarh used to charge Rs 3 lakh per day for significant events organized by the Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh (CSCS). The CSCS has arranged generators to ensure uninterrupted floodlights, as the stadium's electricity bill has remained unpaid for almost five years. The CSCS has urged the state departments to transfer stadium ownership to them.
